The sealing of injection ampoule bottles generally includes two methods: pull-sealing and top-sealing. The finished product produced by the former method has the advantages of smooth top, firmness and tightness. But in the actual application process, many factors will affect the quality of the ampoules after filling and sealing, so it is necessary to discuss the filling operations.
Appearance quality problems of ampoules after filling and sealing
Flat head, the top of the ampoule is flattened but not drawn in the sealing process.
Causes: the preheating flame and the drawing flame are too small; the pressure ampoule bearing is inflexible or the pressure is too small; several ampoule walls are too thick.
Solutions: strengthen the flame power of the front and rear groups; replace the new bearing or adjust the inner spring of the ampoule pressure frame to strengthen the pressure, so that the ampoule can rotate normally and form a wire drawing; clear unqualified ampoules.
Pointed head, the top of ampoules have pointed tops after being sealing using an ampoule filling sealing machine.
Causes: the drawing flame is too small; the tempering time after the ampoule drawing is too short; the bottom end of the wire drawing clip is too far above the flame horizontal centerline; several ampoule walls are too thick.
Solutions: enhance the strength of the drawing flame; adjust and control the cam of the fire head to prolong the tempering time; adjust the wire drawing clip so that the bottom end is slightly higher than the flame horizontal centerline about 1mm; clear unqualified ampoules.
Bubble head, the top of the ampoule forms a large bubble after filling and sealing, which is easy to break.
Causes: the drawing flame is too strong; the tempering time of the ampoule after drawing is too long; the bottom of the drawing clip is slightly lower than the flame horizontal centerline. Although it can be melted, it is easy to form a small bubble head.
Solutions: reduce the flame intensity of the drawing; shorten the tempering time of the ampoule after drawing; adjust the distance between the drawing clip and the flame horizontal centerline to the normal distance.
Slumped head, A riding is formed on the top of the ampoule after melt sealing.
Causes: the ampoule first forms a bubble head during the wire drawing process and then cools and shrinks; the heating flame is too small to dry some tiny water vapor on the ampoule walls, these low temperature water vapor cause the newly formed top arc of the ampoule to shrink and form a slumped head.
Solutions: solve the problem with bubble head solution; strengthen the heating flame, so that the neck of the ampoule is fully heated and the tiny water vapor evaporates as soon as possible.
Broken head, the ampoule filling and sealing machine doesn’t sealing the top of ampoule.
Causes: mechanical reasons; excessive bubble head; excessive slumped head.
Solutions: adjust the distance between the wire drawing clip and the flame horizontal centerline to the normal distance; solve the problem with bubble head solution and slumped head solution;
Coking head, the medicinal liquid at the neck of the ampoule was scorched during the melting process of the ampoule filling and sealing machine to form coking spots, which were rejected during the lamp inspection.
Causes of liquid sticking to the neck of the ampoule: the needle is not positioned correctly; when the needle exits the ampoule, the remaining drop of the needle sticks to the neck wall; the needle enters the ampoule too deep or too shallow, causing the liquid to splash or spray back on the neck wall when filling; the needle travels incorrectly when filling.
Solutions: adjust the needle fixed bolt so that the needle is in the center of the ampoule mouth when filling; a buffer ball is connected in parallel on the drug feeding pipeline, one end is connected to the drug tube with an eight-channel, the other end is closed, and the ball stores 2/3 volume of the liquid medicine, or clamp an adjustable clip on the drug feeding pipeline to control the feeding amount, so as to avoid the phenomenon of residual needle drop; The tip of the needle is changed to three holes or two holes to dispense medicine, and it can be extended to 1-2 mm below the curved neck of the ampoule when filling medicine. With this method, it can not only overcome the splashing of the medicinal liquid when filling the medicine, but also reduce the phenomenon of residual droplets on the needle. Adjust the filling cam to start filling when the needle reaches the curved neck of the ampoule and stop filling before the needle is lifted, avoid adhesion of the needle liquid to the neck wall during movement.
